I couldn't help but wonder how different you might be had you not gone through the trials. Perhaps the Potter had you go through all that you did so that your heart would be open to God's love and grace and that you would be willing to share that love and grace with all those with whom you come in contact. I can relate to your story. My "dark night of the soul" was a long and horrible time. Yet, even in that "dark night", I could hear the faint whispers of the Lover of My Soul calling me unto Himself.
